A Supermarket wants it's residents to starve.
Popular Supermarket chain IGA has announced that only Vaccinated patrons will be allowed to shop at their Yulara store, located inside of the Ayers Rock resort.
They claim this is to protect the safety and well being of their patrons, with both a Spokesperson for IGA (Independent Grocers Australia) and the Resorts Chief both depending the position.
This should come as no surprise if you’ve been paying attention to the Northern Territory, recently famous for sending the military to round up the Aboriginal People and vaccinate them against their will and the recent lockdown of the unvaccinated, where unvaccinated people were not allowed to leave their houses.
Now, you might be thinking “The residents of Yulara should just shop somewhere else.”
Maybe that would work in the inner-city. Yulara is a regional town and the nearest market is a 4.5 hour drive each direction. That’s a 9 hour drive to get your groceries.
Think about that for a moment. Do you think your Grandparents could make a 9 hour drive in the desert in 40c+ heat? (That’s ~110f for the Americans out there).
What the Independent Grocers of Australia are saying here is:
If you don’t get vaccinated, you don’t deserve to eat"
